The role
The University of Bristol is leading a training programme, designed to upskill graduate engineers and industry professionals within the rapidly expanding Edge-AI technology sector.
We are looking for a proactive individual to coordinate the successful delivery of this training programme, which will be delivered in a hybrid mode and will include expert mentoring and industry placements for 40 graduate engineers and regional professionals over a two-year period. The role will involve working closely with university colleagues, external experts, industry partners and programme participants to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of the programme.
What will you be doing?
Participant Onboarding & Monitoring:
- Support the programme marketing and recruitment drives.
- Build and maintain relationships with a network of partner companies for industrial placements through our collaborators.
- Support and maintain the learning management system (LMS) and digital infrastructure.
- Act as the main daily contact point with the participant trainees.
Programme Delivery:
- Monitor participant attendance, participation, and engagement across sessions.
- Arrange day-to-day logistics, venues, and schedules according to the needs of the curriculum and lecturers.
- Ensure smooth coordination between the University of Bristol, external lecturers, and trainees.

Placement Matching and Transition:
- Coordinate interviews between graduate engineers and industrial host companies.
- Handle placement paperwork, compliance checks, and transition onboarding for host organisations.
Communications & Event Coordination:
- Handle communications between external collaborators, industry stakeholders, and the university.
- Organise and deliver project events, including advisory boards and project meetings (such as drafting agendas and presentations).
Reporting & Compliance:
- Gather data, maintain budgets and audit trails, and compile progress metrics for the funding body.
- Coordinate the administration of programme finances and compliance documentation.
You should apply if
- You can demonstrate building effective and collaborative working relationships with colleagues at all levels of seniority, including from other organisations.
- You have experience of organising and delivering successful events and/or proactively coordinating the delivery of a scheme of work.
- You have experience of coordinating the administration of projects and are confident in dealing with financial budgets and reporting.
- You are enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- You are comfortable working flexibly and able to plan and prioritise workloads successfully.
- You are a team player, well-organised, confident and proactive.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional information
Contract type: Open-ended with fixed funding until 31/08/2029
Work pattern: Part-time
Grade: H
Salary: £35,608 - £39,906 per annum pro rata
School/Unit: Faculty of Science and Engineering / The Industrial Liaison Office (ILO)
Hybrid working offered: Yes. To be on campus 1-2 days a week.
