Company Description
PATH (Scotland) is a charity based in Glasgow that challenges inequality and promotes a diverse workforce, using the positive action provisions of the Equality Act (2010). The organization delivers training and education programs in the housing sector, where trainees undertake an academic qualification while on placement and receive support to secure employment in housing afterward.
PATH (Scotland) has a strong track record, with around 90% of trainees gaining employment after their placement. In addition to housing-focused initiatives, the charity runs mentoring, coaching, leadership, and employability programs across sectors, including for individuals who are unemployed or under-employed. Its mission is to help build a skilled, motivated workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities it serves at all levels of employment.
Role Description
The Project Coordinator will lead the day-to-day coordination and delivery of Kitchen Table Sisters.
This is a focused, relationship-based role at the heart of the project. You will create a warm and inclusive environment where women feel welcomed, listened to and able to shape the project themselves. You will coordinate and facilitate sessions, build relationships with participants, support outreach and recruitment, arrange guest and peer contributors, provide appropriate signposting, and gather learning about the difference the project makes.
You will be supported by PATH’s CEO and wider team with financial administration, organizational policies, safeguarding, communications, and access to PATH’s networks. The role will not be expected to provide specialist counselling, immigration advice, or intensive casework.
Main Responsibilities
- Build relationships and support participation by helping racially minoritised women from across Glasgow become involved in Kitchen Table Sisters; offer brief, appropriate listening support and signpost participants to PATH services or relevant specialist organisations when further help is needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate project activities; plan and facilitate welcoming and inclusive fortnightly gatherings, support local storytelling walks and other agreed project activities; work sensitively with conversations involving racism, belonging, wellbeing, financial pressures, caring responsibilities, and other personal experiences.
- Manage administration, evaluation, and learning to keep straightforward, accurate records of participation and project activities.
- Work as part of PATH to take part in regular supervision with the CEO and attend relevant team meetings, contribute ideas and learning from Kitchen Table Sisters to PATH’s wider work.

Essential Criteria
We are looking for someone who:
- Can build trust, listen without judgement, and help women feel comfortable, respected, and included;
- Has experience of working alongside racially minoritised, migrant, refugee or asylum-seeking communities;
- Has experience of facilitating groups, community activities, workshops, or similar sessions;
- Understands the barriers that racism, poverty, migration, caring responsibilities, and social isolation can create;
- Can facilitate sensitive conversations confidently and respectfully;
- Can organise activities, communicate with participants, and keep straightforward and accurate project records;
- Can work independently, manage a small workload, and use initiative while recognising when to ask for support;
- Can maintain confidentiality, appropriate boundaries, and a clear understanding of the limits of the role;
- Is committed to equality, fairness, and working alongside communities rather than making decisions for them.
Desirable Criteria
It would be helpful, but is not essential, if you also have:
- Experience of providing information, signposting, or employability/community support;
- Experience of participatory or co-designed approaches in which participants help shape activities and decisions;
- Trusted relationships or connections with racially minoritised communities in Glasgow.

Remuneration
- Hours: 7.5 hours per week
- Salary: £15 per hour
- Contract: Fixed term for 12 months
- Location: Glasgow (office-based in Govan) with delivery primarily from community venues
- Responsible to: CEO, PATH (Scotland)
