About the Opportunity
Institute of Metabolic Science (IMS) Epidemiology at the University of Cambridge are seeking to appoint a skilled Project Coordinator to work within the Population Health Interventions group.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to contribute to three research projects of direct relevance to government policy and the public's health. You will support a project that explores the potential of spatial planning as a tool to support public health, another which aims to provide generalisable explanations for the success (or not) of changes in the transport system, and one an evaluation of new restrictions of food advertising on TV and online. These projects build on our internationally recognized work on the structural determinants of diet, physical activity, and related health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall day-to-day project coordination and acting as the main point of contact for these projects
- Supporting staff recruitment, induction, and probation related activities
- Managing project documentation and making administrative contributions to publications and funder reports
- Providing financial management and administration, including managing expenditure against budgets
- Organizing project and public involvement meetings and events
- Organizing other events such as conferences and workshops
- Carrying out duties related to communications including preparation of promotional materials, funder reporting, and updates to social media, project websites, and institution repositories

- Onsite presence: Minimum of two days a week

IMS Epidemiology is a department within the University of Cambridge's School of Clinical Medicine, situated within the Institute of Metabolic Science on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, with its excellent public transport links to the historic city centre of Cambridge and its surrounding towns and villages.
