PROJECT COORDINATOR | MERIDIAN ONE
Reading, Berkshire | Full-time | Office based
Help keep a major UK data centre development moving.
MERIDIAN ONE is hiring a highly organised Project Coordinator for a planned 100 MW data centre campus in Hickstead, West Sussex, with an anticipated development programme of approximately £1 billion.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Yassin El Naggar and the project leadership, you will keep meetings, supplier follow-ups, project records and day-to-day coordination running smoothly. This is a practical role for someone who follows through, spots missing information and makes sure actions do not get lost.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Join the project at the development stage and work with engineering and planning consultants, equipment vendors, contractors and utilities. Your base will be our Reading office at Enterprise House, 95 London Street, with site visits and external meetings as required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Arrange meetings between the project team, vendors, consultants and other stakeholders; coordinate diaries and logistics.
- Prepare agendas, take clear minutes and maintain an action tracker with owners, deadlines and follow-up reminders.
- Chase supplier information, quotations, technical responses and agreed deliverables; flag delays and unresolved issues to the Project Manager.
- Maintain document registers, correspondence, drawing revisions and submission records so the team can find the latest information.
- Update project trackers, meeting schedules and progress reports using information confirmed by the relevant workstream owners.
- Support requests for quotations and tender administration; collect responses and organise comparisons for the Project Manager and technical specialists to review.
- Keep purchase order, consultant fee and invoice trackers up to date and coordinate the information needed for internal approvals.
- Help organise site visits, consultant meetings and follow-up correspondence with planning, utility and other project stakeholders.
- Prepare concise weekly updates showing completed actions, upcoming deadlines and items needing a decision.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
