Position Overview

The Project Coordinator is a technical support position reporting to the Project Manager. The Project Coordinator will use their expertise to coordinate technical aspects of the work sections assigned to them. Under the direction of the Project Manager the Project Coordinator will coordinate the contract drawings, submittals and trade contractors to ensure the work is completed in accordance with the quality control and contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating and managing the assigned work sections of the project, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.
  • Reviewing shop drawings, structural drawings and structural submittals as required by the Special Inspector.
  • Attend inspections by the Special Inspector.
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to set daily production goals and monitor performance.
  • Perform QA/QC surveys and prepare reports on the structure for compliance with the tolerances within the specifications and ACI.
  • Document and review/prepare backup for Subcontractor and Client initiated Change orders.
  • Check and confirm supplier and subcontractor invoices for payment.
  • Design and maintain documentation for project tracking, personnel scheduling, etc.
  • Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to monitor construction progress, resolve issues and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards for the assigned work sections.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Project Superintendents and trade Contractors relating to the assigned work sections.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocations and procurement strategies for the assigned work sections.
  • Manage construction project documentation, including contracts, permits, RFI’s, NCR’s, drawings and change orders for the assigned work sections
  • Carry out thorough project evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary corrective measures for the assigned work sections.

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other engineering discipline, or a related field.
  • 9 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction as a project engineer or project coordinator for a General Contractor.
  • Experience is working on large residential multifamily projects, concrete frame projects.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (PROCURE), project scheduling tools and cost estimation software.

This is a full-time position requiring 45 hours a week. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 5 pm. This position operates outdoor in the tropical environment and applicant must be able to lift up to 50lbs. The project is located on West Bay Road.
