THE COMPANY

Established in 1998, JSM Group designs and installs the power networks, digital infrastructure and specialist systems that critical industries run on, from high-power grid connections and data centres to renewable energy. Our turnkey teams deliver complex infrastructure at speed, on time, and with reduced legislative, technical and commercial risk.

THE TEAM

JSM Group is a leading utilities infrastructure provider delivering complex digital infrastructure and civils projects across the UK. As part of our continued growth, we're on the lookout for an organised, proactive, and detail-driven Coordinator to support our Planned Maintenance Team.

SCOPE OF ROLE

You will support and assist the Project Managers responsible for administering the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and the Diversionary Works Code of Practice on behalf of the client Communications Provider. You'll help ensure the business unit stays compliant with NRSWA and the Diversionary Works Code of Practice, while promoting a positive image of the company.

HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED

  • Receive, log and record diversionary enquiries for client networks (C3 and PPO)
  • Prepare full sets of as-built records and utility drawings for each scheme ready for costing
  • Track and record all C3 and C4 estimates issued by Project Managers on a spreadsheet
  • Track and record all "live" C5/C6/C7 projects won on a spreadsheet
  • Take minutes for diversionary works meetings and issue to the team and client
  • Update and issue the contract project programme
  • Correspond with landowners, land agents and the client on trace and mark-up requests where the client network is on private land
  • Arrange for the Plant Protection Officer (PPO) to attend site surveys, and liaise with them to ensure they have a full project document pack
  • Liaise with the Utility Drawings Team on all affected S247 Stopping Up Orders and other enquiries affecting the client's network
  • Assist in compiling the weekly Project Review Report for Senior Manager's meetings
  • Support the wider Planning Team in any reasonable way to enable the smooth running of the department

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
