Role Description
As demand continues to grow across our Mobility business, we're looking for a Project Cost Consultant to join our Commercial Management team in London & South East. Working across a diverse portfolio of major highways infrastructure projects, you'll play a key role in helping clients manage cost, commercial risk, and project performance throughout the project lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware cost professional who enjoys working collaboratively, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure programmes.
Role Accountabilities
As part of our growing Mobility Commercial Management team, you'll support the delivery of cost management services across a range of highways projects and programmes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and maintaining cost plans, budgets, estimates, and commercial reports.
- Monitoring project costs, forecasting expenditure, and analysing variances.
- Supporting the management of small to medium-sized commissions and key elements of larger projects.
- Identifying commercial risks, issues, and opportunities throughout project delivery.
- Working closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Providing cost and commercial advice in line with established governance and compliance processes.
- Supporting continuous improvement and helping drive innovation across cost management delivery.
- Attending project and site meetings, building strong relationships with stakeholders and project partners.

Qualifications & Experience
We're interested in hearing from candidates who have experience within infrastructure, transport, or construction environments and are looking to grow their career within a leading consultancy.
You'll bring:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management.
- Experience working on infrastructure, highways, transportation, or aviation projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including compensation events and contract administration.
- The ability to analyse commercial information and produce accurate cost and reporting outputs.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A sound understanding of construction delivery and cost management methodologies.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Progress towards, or achievement of, a professional qualification such as MRICS.
- A CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
