Arcadis Project Cost Consultant
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.
We are more than 34,000 people, in over 30 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.
Role Description
At Arcadis, we're supporting one of the UK's most significant aviation infrastructure programmes, the Gatwick Airport Northern Runway Project. We're looking for an experienced Project Cost Consultant to join the commercial team, helping to shape the successful delivery of a major infrastructure investment that will enhance capacity, connectivity, and long-term growth at one of the UK's busiest airports.
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a high-profile programme, partnering with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to provide robust cost management and commercial advice throughout project delivery.
As a Project Cost Consultant, you'll play a key role in managing project costs, forecasting expenditure, analysing commercial performance, and supporting informed decision-making across the programme. You'll be involved in both site-based and office-based activities, working closely with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and commercially successfully.
With a strong presence on site, you'll gain first-hand insight into project delivery while helping to manage risk, control costs, and drive value throughout the project lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
