Working as part of a productive project and management team. This role will ensure effective project delivery from concept of an opportunity to delivery and close out with the customer. Focusing on efficient delivery of work scope, to meet budgets and deliverables and ensure first class customer service.
Job Title: Project Delivery Engineer (Navy)
Location: Rugby but may be required to work throughout the UK & overseas
Salary: £35,000
Reports To: Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Input and assist Project team with quotations and estimates by assessing work scope, identifying risks and advising on estimated timescales to deliver said work scope
- Attend project kick off meetings with project and site teams, being prepared to travel across the UK
- Take ownership of project deliverables from initial work scope timings and costs, to final delivery at site
- Check and approve work instructions produced by project team
- Produce Risk Assessment & Method Statements to align with project work scope
- Work with project team to improve quality of information sent to site
- Organise tooling and test equipment to be used on site
- Work with project team to ensure information, tooling, equipment etc is available on site at required time.
- Ensure adherence to project plan once on site
- Ensure adherence to work scope and manage any changes/variations
- Be aware of project costs and notify project team of any possible risks to project budget & timescales
- Work to improve communication process between site and project team
- Ownership of customer site communications while project scope is delivered
- Ongoing management of site equipment and tooling
- Input into project close out and lessons learnt process
- Ensure project reports are delivered on time and are accurate.
- Ensuring excellent quality and safety standards are maintained at all times

- BTEC/HND Electrical Engineering
- Awareness of financial and commercial impacts on project success
- Show drive, enthusiasm and be motivated to succeed
- Customer focused
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to work flexibly on own initiative and part of a team
- Shows desire to promote culture of Continuous Improvement
- Ideally have experience working with and supervising a team
