Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Project Delivery Lead to take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of projects across our client portfolio. Working closely with internal and client stakeholders, you will be the point person for projects delivering cutting edge Google Cloud-based and AI solutions across a range of sectors. You will be equally confident in presenting to senior client stakeholders, as you are in leading the end-to-end project management and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects, managing the full lifecycle from initial engagement through to post-project review and closure.
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with client stakeholders and Google teams, ensuring transparent communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Manage project budgets, providing accurate forecasting and ensuring cost control throughout the delivery cycle.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, devising robust contingency plans to keep delivery on track when challenges arise.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on risks, issues, and progress throughout the project.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure effective collaboration within the team and with external partners to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee post-project review processes to capture lessons learned and drive future improvements.

About the Candidate

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in project delivery or programme management, ideally within consultancy and Google Cloud technology environments.
  • Eligible for UK Government SC-level security clearance.
  • Proven experience working with both agile and waterfall methodologies, and adaptable to project needs.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset, seeking opportunities for personal and business development.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts and client management.
  • Comfortable discussing technical requirements and constraints with engineering and product teams, even if not hands-on technical.
  • Confident and collaborative communicator, able to influence at all levels.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure and navigate shifting priorities.
