We are recruiting an experienced Project Delivery Manager to join an established engineering and project delivery business based in Grangemouth.

This is a senior project leadership position with responsibility for the safe, technical and commercial delivery of projects from contract award through execution, completion and close-out. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage client and vendor interfaces and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual, commercial and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the technical and commercial delivery of assigned projects.
  • Manage projects from contract award through engineering, execution, construction and close-out.
  • Establish project execution plans, priorities, meetings, reviews and reporting requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and ensure appropriate resources are in place.
  • Manage client, vendor, subcontractor and internal stakeholder interfaces throughout project delivery.
  • Maintain effective cost, budget, revenue and commercial control across projects.
  • Ensure robust change control processes are followed and contractual requirements are understood and managed.
  • Identify project risks, constraints and potential conflicts early and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Ensure accurate project planning, progress reporting and forecasting.
  • Provide direction and support to project personnel to achieve agreed KPIs, milestones and client expectations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and proactively respond to operational and project requirements.
  • Support recruitment, training, competency development and allocation of project resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable QHSE, company and client procedures and standards.
  • Lead by example in relation to safety, quality and operational performance.
  • Undertake periodic site and offshore visits where required to review project and personnel performance.

About You

We are looking for an experienced project professional with a strong background delivering complex engineering projects within the oil & gas, offshore or wider energy sectors.

You should have:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience operating in a Project Manager, Project Delivery Manager or similar senior project role.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects through construction and project close-out.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
  • Good knowledge of relevant oil & gas industry codes, standards and project delivery practices.
  • Experience working with offshore operations, construction activities or drilling-related projects would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial, contractual and financial awareness.
  • Experience managing budgets, project change and cost performance.
  • Proven ability to anticipate project issues, develop contingency plans and drive timely resolution.
  • Experience managing and developing project personnel.
  • Familiarity with project planning software and standard Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong client-facing, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Membership of a recognised professional body.
  • PMI or APM accredited Project Management training.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Current offshore certification.
