Project Delivery Manager
Location: Birmingham, hybrid working 3 days per week on site
Salary: £67,000
We are looking for an experienced Project Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of projects and change initiatives. This is an opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end delivery, working across multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered to agreed scope, time, cost and quality expectations.
The Role
As Project Delivery Manager, you will lead assigned projects and initiatives from planning through to implementation and handover. You will be accountable for maintaining delivery momentum, managing risks and issues, coordinating resources and ensuring outputs are transitioned successfully into the business so intended outcomes and benefits can be realised.
The ideal candidate for this position will have worked on a variety of projects through the full project lifecycle and be comfortable working on an array of IT and Change based assignments at any one time. Retail, supply chain or logistics background would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
- Develop and manage integrated delivery plans, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and change.
- Apply the most appropriate delivery approach, including predictive, agile, iterative or hybrid methods where relevant.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, creating clear ownership and holding workstream leads, delivery partners and suppliers to account.
- Build strong relationships with sponsors, business owners, stakeholders and delivery teams to secure timely decisions and actions.
- Monitor and report on project performance, providing clear insight, recommendations and early intervention where delivery is at risk.
- Coordinate implementation, transition and handover, ensuring outputs meet acceptance criteria and the business is ready to adopt change.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery standards and ways of working.

About You
- Demonstrable experience leading a broad range of projects and change initiatives through the full delivery lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery principles, governance, controls and methodologies.
- Experience managing plans, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and change in complex delivery environments.
- Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence, secure decisions and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience of supplier or delivery partner management, including performance against agreed commitments.
- Strong digital and data literacy, with experience using project management and reporting tools.
- A recognised project management qualification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent professional experience.
