Our client

Our client is a specialist engineering company that designs, manufactures and installs bespoke materials handling systems for customers across the food processing and FMCG sectors.

Working from initial concept through to detailed design, manufacture, installation and commissioning, the business delivers complete engineering solutions designed around each customer's production and handling requirements.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Project Design Engineer to join their engineering team and play a key role in the development and delivery of bespoke materials handling projects.

The Role

As a Project Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing engineering designs and technical solutions for bespoke materials handling systems used within food processing and manufacturing environments.

Working closely with customers, project managers, sales and the wider engineering team, you will take projects from initial concept through to detailed design and manufacture. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering, materials handling and industrial production environments, together with the ability to develop practical and cost-effective solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
