CAD Draughtsman / Technical Designer

The Role
NICE BOX is looking for a CAD Draughtsman / Technical Designer to support the design and manufacture of our bespoke container conversions.
You will work closely with management and the workshop team to turn concepts and customer requirements into accurate, practical drawings ready for manufacture.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
- Develop concepts into detailed manufacturing and technical drawings.
- Produce layouts, assemblies, and component drawings.
- Update drawings and manage revisions throughout projects.
- Work closely with the workshop team to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
- Resolve design and technical issues during production.
- Assist with material and component specifications.
- Support the development of new NICE-BOX products and standard designs.
- Ensure drawings are completed accurately and in line with production deadlines.
- Maintain organized drawing and project documentation.

Skills & Experience
- Experience in CAD draughting, technical design, or a similar role.
- Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills.
- Experience producing technical or manufacturing drawings.
- Good practical understanding of how products are manufactured and assembled.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects.
- Good communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach to design.

Experience within fabrication, construction, container conversions, modular buildings, or bespoke manufacturing would be advantageous.
