Hathaway Roofing are the UK’s leader in the design, manufacture and installation of industrial roof and wall cladding systems. With over 50 years of experience in the construction sector, the company has grown into one of the country’s leading envelope contractors, serving our valued client base nationwide with a £70 million turnover.
We have an excellent reputation in the marketplace with emphasis on strong design capability and successful management of complex project logistics.
Role
- Cladding designer position detailing roofing & cladding systems to include twin-skin, single ply & composite panel systems in value from £1 million to £15 Million
- Produce 2D project specific working drawings and fabrication schedules
- Liaise with project design team including main contractor, architects, steelworker and siphonic contractors
- Attend in person & online design team meetings
- Liaise with system manufacturers and suppliers
- Liaise with internal departments
- Support site installation teams with day-to-day queries
- Scope to progress into a senior position

Experience
- 8+ years design experience within the roofing and cladding sector preferred
- Be familiar with a range of building envelope systems such as twin skin, single ply and composite panel systems
- Must have 2D AutoCAD experience
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Motivated, proactive and focus driven individual with attention to detail
- Able to work as part of a team or solo on projects
- Ability to work to deadlines with a flexible, proactive approach
- ONC / HNC in construction or similar
