Employment: Full-time
Reporting to: Head of Development / Development Director

Role Overview

We are a UK-based Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on developing, constructing, and owning utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects.
We are seeking a Project Development Manager to lead projects from early-stage origination through to Ready-to-Build, managing the key land, planning, grid, technical, and commercial workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of utility-scale solar and BESS projects from origination to construction readiness.
  • Identify and manage key project risks, budgets, programs, and development milestones.
  • Manage relationships with landowners, planning authorities, DNOs/TOs, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead land acquisition, planning, environmental, and grid connection processes.
  • Coordinate technical studies, site assessments, layouts, and project optimization.
  • Support project financial modelling, investment cases, and commercial assessments.
  • Manage external consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Support procurement, financing, due diligence, and transition into construction.
  • Monitor UK planning, grid, and energy-market developments relevant to the portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
