This is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal moment and play a leading role in shaping that growth from the outset. As a Project Director within the Project Delivery Practice (PDP), this role offers the chance to lead high-profile, complex defence projects across the UK and internationally, while building lasting client relationships, driving business growth, and strengthening delivery capability. Your role

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the successful delivery of major Defence projects, acting as a trusted Project Director across the full lifecycle—from early feasibility through to delivery and close-out.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of major, complex Defence projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and commercial success.
  • Provide strategic leadership and governance as Project Director, ensuring safe, high-quality, on-time, and commercially successful outcomes.
  • Build and sustain strong, trusted client relationships, acting as a senior advisor and influencing decision-making at executive level.

  • Resolve complex commercial, contractual, and delivery challenges while protecting business outcomes.
  • Apply sector knowledge and experience across Defence projects.
  • Maintain accountability for commercial performance, including contract strategy, financial management, and key negotiations.
  • Lead, mentor, and support inclusive, high-performing teams, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to business growth through bid leadership, client development, and securing future opportunities.
  • Support the ongoing development of best practice and capability within the Defence Project Delivery community.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
