Role: Data Centre Project Director Location: North London Position Type: Permanent
The Opportunity
I am seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the successful delivery of a large-scale, long-term Data Centre construction project in North London.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex mission-critical data centre projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams including construction, engineering, commercial, planning, commissioning, and operational personnel.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies to ensure successful delivery against programme and budget.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee risk management processes and ensure mitigation strategies are effectively implemented.
- Monitor project performance and report regularly to senior leadership and client teams.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Lead commissioning and handover activities.

Essential Requirements

- UK right to work.
- Extensive experience operating at Project Director.
- Demonstrable history of successfully delivering large-scale Data Centre construction projects.
- Strong understanding of data centre design, construction, commissioning, and operational requirements.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Experience working with major contractors, developers, or specialist mission-critical businesses.
