Lead the Delivery of a Landmark Data Centre Project
Are you an experienced Project Director with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-value construction projects?
We are recruiting for a Project Director to lead the delivery of a flagship £100 million data centre project in West London. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a technically challenging scheme for a well-established principal contractor specialising in mission-critical environments.
You'll be responsible for driving the project from construction through to successful completion, leading a high-performing team while ensuring exceptional standards of safety, quality, programme and commercial performance.
If you've successfully delivered large-scale projects for a Tier 1 or leading main contractor and thrive in fast-paced, technically demanding environments, we'd like to hear from you.
The Role
As Project Director, you will provide strategic leadership across the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the successful delivery of this flagship data centre.
Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and senior leadership, you'll be accountable for programme, commercial performance, risk management and operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading the delivery of a circa £100m data centre project from construction through to completion.
- Managing multidisciplinary site teams, senior project staff and specialist subcontractors.
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and the wider supply chain.
- Driving programme performance, quality standards and commercial success.
- Leading all Health & Safety initiatives and ensuring full compliance across site.
- Overseeing project planning, procurement and resource management.
- Managing risk, project reporting and financial performance alongside the commercial team.
- Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with NEC/JCT contracts, specifications and company procedures.
- Mentoring and developing project teams while creating a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Representing the business professionally to maximise client satisfaction and future opportunities.

About You
We're looking for a confident and commercially astute construction leader with extensive experience delivering major projects.
You'll Ideally Have
- Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering projects valued at £50m+ for a Tier 1 or leading main contractor.
- Previous experience delivering data centres, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, life sciences or other highly serviced MEP-intensive projects.
- Excellent understanding of complex MEP installations and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of Design & Build procurement.
- Experience managing NEC and JCT contracts.
- Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness and risk management capability.
- A proactive approach to Health, Safety and Quality.
- Degree qualified in Construction, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional membership (CIOB, RICS, ICE or similar) would be advantageous.
- SMSTS, CSCS And First Aid Qualifications.
