Project Director Opportunity
The CSR Group are looking for a Project Director to deliver a large £150m design and build, defence project in Rochester, Kent. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, driven and committed to delivering projects to the highest level of quality. They must be able to build and lead a professional team, able to head a project as a business unit head with a close eye on commercial aspects, and the drive for the highest levels of safety, quality and planning ahead to ensure programme.
Skills Required
- At least 8 years’ experience construction project management within tier one main contractors.
- Established good working relationships with a wide range of subcontractors
- Good organisational skills, and the ability to lead projects to a high degree of quality and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external clients
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Good leadership qualities, and the ability to coach others

Duties
- Identifying and developing long-term relationships to help grow the business and deliver a flagship project
- Planning the skill requirements for your projects, collaborating with the project teams to recruit and select quality employees, and then managing and motivating them
- Directing set up for your projects, making sure that best practice meeting and reporting documentation and schedules are implemented from the outset, and that close-out is always factored in
- Overseeing ongoing client satisfaction with the project, especially in terms of cost, scope and timescales
- Best Practice Health & Safety: You'll proactively monitor health & safety processes, culture and behaviours, promoting the importance of H&S education with subcontractors.
- Participating in a robust divisional project reporting process, identifying and addressing any potential issues and ensuring that our client reporting is accurate and appropriate
