We are looking for Project Directors to join our business
You will play a key role in leading the delivery of major schemes. From beginning to end, you'll drive successful outcomes for our customers, communities and people.
Given the scale and diversity of our project portfolio, we're looking for leaders who are flexible and open to working across different locations throughout the UK, bringing their expertise where it can make the greatest impact.
We are currently looking for Project Directors who will lead a whole project lifecycle from Tender/PCSA through the Design and Construction process and then Commissioning, Handover, Aftercare and Commercial Close out. As the Project Director being accountable in maximising the team’s potential to deliver a successful project safely and commercially. Maintain the Skanska Brand, ensuring Clients, users and local community are proud of and satisfied with their development. Approx. £100m to £200m+.

As the Project Director, You Will
- Be responsible for early involvement and engagement during tender and preconstruction phases with then maintaining clear ownership of the commitments made during PCSA to ensure their successful conversion to delivery outputs.
- As the senior day-to-day representative of a project, you will be responsible for customer leadership and stakeholder management with both the client and professional teams.
- Chair appropriate management meetings including Client reporting meetings, monthly senior managers briefing meetings, monthly senior team meetings, Health and Safety meetings and briefings and forecasting and reporting meetings.
- Be actively engaged in and have overall responsibility for Method Statements and Risk Assessment before operations commence for all contractors and operatives.
- Deliver a quality project that meets the clients agreed specification to time and budget. This includes ensuring the appropriate project reporting is completed within the agreed timeframe and providing clear direction to the project team.

We Are Looking For
- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects working through PCSA stages, successfully converting and delivering on time and to budget.
- Clear understanding of and demonstrable experience working with clients and customers with ability to manage expectations and deliver to budgetary constraints.
- Demonstrable experience of managing projects from inception through to completion with a value of between £25 and £300m.
- Experience of varied forms of contract including NEC, MPTC and JCT would be highly relevant.
- Knowledge and experience of using CEMAR would be advantageous.
