Project Director – Data Centre Project

📍 East London
💰 Salary - Up to £170,000 per annum plus additional benefits

Lead one of the UK's most significant data centre developments.

We're partnering with a leading international main contractor that has built an outstanding reputation for delivering some of Europe's most complex and technically demanding construction projects.

Due to the award of a £350 million hyperscale data centre in East London, they're looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to lead the project from construction through to successful handover.

This is a career-defining opportunity to take ownership of a flagship mission-critical development with one of the industry's most respected contractors.

Working closely with the Operations Director and senior leadership team, you'll lead every aspect of the project, ensuring it is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the overall project strategy and delivery.
  • Managing multidisciplinary project teams across construction, commercial, design and MEP.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
  • Driving programme performance, commercial success and operational excellence.
  • Leading project governance, reporting and risk management.
  • Championing health & safety and fostering a high-performance project culture.
  • Supporting the development of future project opportunities within the business.

About You

We're keen to speak with experienced Project Directors who can demonstrate:

  • A proven track record delivering large-scale construction projects for a Tier 1 or leading main contractor.
  • Previous experience leading data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or other technically complex projects.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage projects of significant value and complexity.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing projects valued in excess of £100 million would be highly advantageous.
