Are you an experienced Project Director with a track record of delivering major energy or infrastructure projects? Do you thrive in leading complex, high-value programmes from construction through to energisation?
Our client is a leading global investor, developer and manager of renewable energy infrastructure, with a substantial portfolio of operating and development-stage assets across wind, solar and energy storage. Backed by significant institutional capital and a long-term investment strategy, the organisation is playing a key role in accelerating the energy transition by delivering critical low-carbon infrastructure projects.
They're seeking a Project Director – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to take ownership of a portfolio of grid-scale energy storage projects across the UK.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for the safe, on-time, on-budget and high-quality delivery of up to five concurrent transmission-connected BESS projects, ranging from 100MW to 400MW in capacity. The successful candidate will take overall accountability from project mobilisation through to energisation, commissioning and handover.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
