Project Director / Client Relations Principal
London
Base salary £160K/£180K plus bonus (Negotiable depending on experience)
(OTE £200K/£225K Year 1)
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Director / Client Relations Principal to join a leading global workplace Design & Build business.
This is a highly client-focused position, responsible for developing senior-level relationships, identifying new opportunities and ensuring existing clients continue to receive an exceptional experience.
Rather than being focused on day-to-day site delivery, the role sits at the front end of the business, building relationships, understanding client requirements, shaping opportunities and working with internal teams to convert them into successful projects.
The Role
- Build and develop long-term relationships with key clients and prospective clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor on workplace strategy, design and delivery.
- Identify new project opportunities and help drive repeat business.
- Work alongside Business Development teams on pitches, proposals and client presentations.
- Lead early-stage client conversations, helping define project scope, objectives and commercial requirements.
- Maintain senior-level client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Strategy, Design, Preconstruction and Delivery teams to create joined-up client solutions.
- Maintain strong commercial awareness around project viability, budgets and profitability.
- Develop relationships across the wider commercial property and workplace market.

About You
You will ideally have 10+ years' experience within Commercial Design & Build, workplace design, architecture, commercial real estate or a closely related sector.
You should bring:
- A proven track record of developing senior client relationships.
- Experience of generating new opportunities and repeat business.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent presentation, pitching and negotiation skills.
- Confidence engaging with C-suite and senior client stakeholders.
- A good understanding of the Commercial D&B project lifecycle.
- The ability to bring internal teams together around the client's requirements.

The Opportunity
This is a senior position within a global workplace business, offering the opportunity to work with major international brands and develop long-term strategic client relationships.
The role is London-based with hybrid working, although regular time with clients and collaboration with the London team will be an important part of the position.
