Project Director – Data Centre Construction

Location: West London
Salary: £140,000–£150,000 + benefits

The Opportunity

We are currently supporting a leading specialist construction business with the appointment of a Project Director to take overall responsibility for the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project in West London.

This is a senior leadership position for an experienced construction professional who can operate across construction, MEP, engineering, commercial, programme and client management, while leading a multidisciplinary project team through to successful completion.

The business has an established track record delivering complex projects across the data centre, defence and energy sectors, with expertise spanning design & build, civils, MEP, fit-out, energy centres and specialist mission-critical infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Director or senior Project Manager looking to take ownership of a major data centre project with significant long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the wider project team and establishing clear delivery objectives.
  • Managing the client, consultants, subcontractors, and wider supply chain.
  • Coordinating construction, MEP, design, and specialist disciplines.
  • Driving the programme and delivery against key milestones.
  • Overseeing procurement and supply chain strategy.
  • Managing project risk and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Working closely with the commercial/QS function on cost, value, forecasting, and project margin.
  • Managing contractual obligations and project documentation.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, health, and safety.
  • Leading project reporting, governance, and senior stakeholder updates.
  • Developing and mentoring members of the project team.
  • Building strong client relationships and supporting repeat business.
  • Ensuring effective project controls and reporting throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
