Project Director – Major Data Centre New Connection

People in Power | Yorkshire

c.£120m Major New Connection Project

About People in Power

People in Power is a specialist recruitment consultancy operating across the Transmission & Distribution and wider power infrastructure market throughout the UK and Europe.

We work directly with Directors and senior leadership teams across leading EPCs and ICPs, providing consultative and strategic recruitment support for some of the UK's most significant power infrastructure and new connection programmes.

We are currently supporting the appointment of a Project Director to take overall leadership of a major new connection project in Yorkshire.

The Project

This is a significant c.£120m power infrastructure programme delivering a new grid connection and associated high-voltage infrastructure for a major data centre development.

The Project Director will have overall responsibility for the successful execution of the scheme, providing leadership from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and final handover.

This is a major leadership appointment requiring someone accustomed to taking end-to-end accountability for large, technically complex infrastructure projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
