Project Director - Place, Regeneration and Housing

Location: Stirling - Central Belt

At Robertson, we see challenges, opportunities, and solutions our way. We’re bold enough to ask questions. Brave enough to look at things differently. Confident enough to be ourselves. Join us and you’ll join the UK’s largest family-owned construction, infrastructure, and support services business. And as Project Director - Place, Regeneration and Housing you’ll be part of a team that’s doing incredible things – for ourselves, for the built environment around us, and for a truly sustainable future.

Your new role

The Role: To lead hub East Central Scotland's strategic housing, regeneration and place agenda, positioning hub as the partner of choice for public sector clients seeking to deliver large-scale, place-based regeneration, housing-led growth, and sustainable investment programmes. The postholder will identify, develop, and secure major development opportunities, establish long-term delivery partnerships, create investable regeneration programmes, and develop innovative delivery vehicles that generate social, economic, and environmental value across East Central Scotland. This role will support the transformation of hub ECS from a project delivery organisation into a strategic development and place partner capable of leading complex regeneration initiatives like the proposed Kirkcaldy Town Centre and Waterfront programme.

Duties:

Strategic Development & Place Leadership

  • Lead the development of hub ECS's regeneration, housing, and place-based growth strategy.
  • Identify major regeneration, town centre, housing, and mixed-use opportunities across partner territories.

  • Promote mission-led regeneration approaches aligned with:
    • Place Principle
    • Community Wealth Building
    • National Planning Framework 4
    • Programme for Government
    • Net Zero objectives
  • Champion long-term place stewardship and sustainable place outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
