Exhibition Project Director / Senior Project Manager
Remote, with regular international travel | Up to £70,000 DOE | Permanent, full time
Package
- Up to £70,000, dependent on experience and scope of remit
- Remote working, with team attendance encouraged every couple of months
- Regular overseas travel, approximately 8 to 10 trips a year, spanning the UK, Europe, Asia and Japan
Disrupt Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well established exhibition agency, delivering global exhibitions and live events for long standing international clients.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for a senior exhibition professional to step into a role with real scope, autonomy and client-facing responsibility, working closely with a supportive leadership team.
The opportunity
This role combines senior project management with people leadership, managing your own exhibition projects while allocating resources and mentoring a wider team of project managers, designers and production specialists. You'll work across global exhibition delivery, with full ownership of CAD and graphics oversight, production, suppliers, compliance, safety and budgets.
You'll also play a key role in supporting project managers still developing exhibition specific expertise, and will have genuine input into the wider growth and development of the function.

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing global exhibition projects end to end, from brief through to on site delivery
- Overseeing CAD and graphics work, production, suppliers, compliance, safety and budgets
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of exhibition project managers, designers and multidisciplinary creative or production staff
- Managing supplier and partner relationships, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting and quality oversight
- Owning budgets and gross profit accountability, including cost negotiation, expense tracking and reconciliation
- Managing scope, change, risk and issues while keeping clients, budgets and delivery plans aligned
- Building and maintaining long term client relationships, including master service agreements, international contracts and repeat business
- Representing the business at industry and supplier events
- Contributing to RFPs, tenders and new business pitches
- Presenting creative concepts and technical proposals, providing credible advice on exhibition design, materials and venue regulations
- Supporting process and service improvement programmes across the function
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience delivering global exhibitions, exhibition stands and live events, including international contract and supplier management
- Strong end to end project management skills, including timelines, milestones, documentation and competing priorities
- Experience leading exhibition project managers, designers and multidisciplinary creative or production teams
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills, including challenging briefs and maintaining clear communication
- Commercial and financial management capability, including budget creation and gross profit accountability
- Supplier and partner management experience, including sourcing, negotiation and quality oversight
- Knowledge of exhibition and event health and safety requirements, risk management and quality control
- A structured, process driven operational mindset, with the ability to improve efficiency and productivity
- Strategic thinking and creativity, with the ability to develop workable, scalable solutions

Desirable
- Experience in audio visual production, and overseeing AV and production suppliers
- Experience representing an agency at industry and supplier events
- Experience contributing to RFPs, tenders and new business pitches
- Awareness of emerging design trends, tools, materials and engagement techniques
