Project Director – £1bn Data Centre New Build | North London

Salter Grange is currently looking to recruit a Project Director to lead delivery of a c. £1 billion new-build data centre campus in North London for a well known and high performing consultancy.

The Role

You'll take overall project leadership from early-stage development through to practical completion and handover, owning programme, cost, quality and risk across the full delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Full accountability for project delivery from inception through to completion
  • Leading design development, procurement and construction strategy for a hyperscale/mission-critical facility
  • Managing multi-disciplinary teams including architects, engineers, main contractor(s) and specialist MEP/critical systems contractors
  • Client and stakeholder management at senior level, including reporting into investor/developer boards
  • Programme, commercial and risk oversight on a project of significant scale and complexity
  • Ensuring compliance with data centre-specific technical, safety and commissioning standards

About You

  • Demonstrable experience delivering a data centre project from early stages (groundworks and enabling) through to completion
  • A contracting background is required (main contractor delivery experience), though candidates who have since moved into consultancy/client-side project management are welcome to apply
  • Track record leading projects at scale, ideally £500m+, within data centre, mission-critical or complex technical building environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable operating at board/investor level
