Note: This opportunity relates to a major UK rolling stock contract based in Derby. The role is being recruited in anticipation of the contract award, and any appointment will be conditional upon Alstom being awarded the contract. Further details, including anticipated start dates, will be discussed with candidates as the recruitment process progresses.
Your Role, Your Impact
- Oversee large-scale project delivery, ensuring scalability and sustainable growth in complex environments.
- Be accountable for project QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Planning) and optimise Project Financial performance (Margin & Cash).
- Be responsible for the project governance, define project strategy in line with contract requirements, including PMP elaboration and objectives allocation to Sub-Systems.
- Guarantee operational reliability, implementing robust risk management and quality assurance processes.
- Lead and coordinate project activities and stakeholders from transfer to close-out.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration, aligning stakeholders and teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Champion innovation, integrating emerging technologies and methodologies to advance project outcomes.
- Promote knowledge sharing, mentoring teams and embedding best practices across the organisation.

What You Bring
- Strong proven experience in project management in senior leadership roles in complex projects.
- Experience of working in and with multi-national companies and in different business cultures.
- Expertise in rail systems, infrastructure delivery, and digital transformation is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of project lifecycle, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and communication skills to inspire high-performing teams.
- Advanced skills in negotiation and conflict management.
- Degree in engineering, business, or equivalent experience.
