Location: Yeovil
Rate: £30-£35 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: 6-Month Contract (with a strong preference to convert to a permanent position)
Working Pattern: On-site initially, moving to a hybrid model after approximately 8 weeks (subject to project requirements and software access)

The Yeovil site is home to Integrated Supply Chain Operations and Engineering & Technology teams, specialising in:
- Environmental Control Systems (ECS)
- Life Support Systems (LSS)
- Hydraulic Systems
- Control and Data Systems
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our Aerospace team in Yeovil.
This role will see you working on complex aerospace engineering projects across multiple product areas, including Environmental Control Systems, Hydraulics, and Life Support Systems. You will play a key role in delivering projects successfully by coordinating engineering activities, managing project performance, and ensuring customer expectations are achieved.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a Project Engineer with 4-5 years' experience managing engineering projects and a strong understanding of the engineering product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and milestones using earned value management techniques.
- Monitor project progress and drive milestone adherence to ensure on-time delivery.
- Create, manage, and track work packages for internal suppliers and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed cost, quality, and timescale objectives.
- Manage and validate project requirements, ensuring appropriate allocation and traceability.
- Coordinate and lead Design Reviews in accordance with Honeywell procedures.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation plans where required.
- Support cross-functional teams to achieve programme objectives.
About You
Essential Qualifications
- HNC, HND, or Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Essential Experience & Skills
- 4-5 years' experience within a Project Engineering or Engineering Project Management environment.
- Proven experience managing and delivering engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle, from concept through to commissioning and delivery.
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar project planning and forecasting tools.
- Knowledge of supplier management and integrated supply chain operations within engineering programmes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable
- Aerospace industry experience.
- Experience working within regulated engineering environments.
- Familiarity with Environmental Control Systems, Hydraulics, or Life Support Systems.
