About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer with a background in Mechanical Design or Structural Engineering to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization. This role offers the opportunity to be the technical expert on large-scale civil and mechanical projects within the waste and recycling industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and commissioning of bespoke equipment, including conveyors, shredders, and other large machinery components. Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Experience in mechanical design, structural engineering, fabrication, or sheet metal work.
- Knowledge of large machinery development and integration.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Commutable to Kettering or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop bespoke mechanical and structural components for large-scale equipment projects.
- Support the entire product development lifecycle, from concept through to commissioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and documentation using CAD software.
- Coordinate with fabrication and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Conduct site visits and oversee installation and commissioning processes.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during project execution.
- Continuously seek innovative solutions to improve product performance and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate project records and report progress to senior management.
