Summary
Driving Engineering Projects with Leadership and Precision
The Role
Sofina Foods is looking for a driven and experienced Project Engineer to join our engineering team. In this key role, you will take ownership of the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Working closely with engineers, contractors, and cross-functional teams, you will provide technical leadership and project oversight, promoting collaboration and innovation throughout each stage of delivery. You’ll also play an active role in identifying opportunities for improvement, helping to drive efficiency, embed best practice, and support the company’s long-term strategic goals.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is motivated by problem-solving, and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders, providing clear communication throughout.
- Apply technical knowledge (including CAD skills and engineering background) to support project design and implementation.
- Manage resources and timelines using Microsoft Project and other relevant tools.
- Produce accurate reports and documentation, ensuring cost-effective delivery aligned with business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement and best practice across all engineering projects.

The Ideal Candidate
Role
This role is perfect for a proven Project Engineer who is detail-oriented, organised, and motivated by delivering results. You will bring:
- Extensive experience in project engineering and project management, with a track record of successful delivery.
- Strong technical and organisational skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Strong electrical knowledge essential.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, confident at all levels of the business.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP/PRINCE2 certification desirable).
- A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset, focused on driving efficiency and best practice.
