Project Engineer - Worcestershire

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 plus annual bonus, pension, insurances
Listgrove is supporting a global leader for the manufacturing of engineered solutions.
The Position:
This is an early career opportunity for somebody with 2-5 years experience within a design, manufacturing, development or project engineering capacity, perhaps looking for a change in career direction, focused more towards project management.
The Project Engineer / Lead role sits within the EU Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Project Management team. The role ensures excellent project management in the development and launch of new products, helping to drive new sales and growth for the EU region.
The Project Lead will manage SBU and New Project Development (NPD) project teams through all stages of the new product introduction cycle, including design, prototyping, tooling, testing, through to customer approval, internal production sign-off, and launch of standard and/or custom products.
The role involves close networking and co-ordination across multiple functions, in particular with Sales, SBU Engineering, and NPD teams within facilities both locally and globally, plus customers and external suppliers. Throughout the development process the Project Lead will manage and support the project team to ensure that the project budget, timelines and product specifications are met.

Requirements
- This is an early career opportunity for somebody with 2-5 years experience in a design, manufacturing, development or project engineering capacity, looking for a project management focus.
- Engineering or relevant discipline degree
- Fluent in English and 1 other EU language (German or Italian would be advantageous)
- Project management skills / coordination
- PM Qualification such as Prince2 – advantageous
- Manufacturing industry experience and good manufacturing process knowledge, e.g. injection moulding, die casting, metal forming, assembly, etc
- Experience of electromechanical products and mechanisms, e.g. including Motors, PCB, Firmware – advantageous
- Good financial and cost breakdown knowledge - preferred
