The Project Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Nottingham. This role involves managing the technical aspects of projects from initial concept through to delivery, including detailed project engineering, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders. The Project Engineer will produce and review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings, and contribute to project planning, scheduling, and risk management.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Communicating with clients and system integrators
- Supporting compliance with relevant standards
- Ensuring that systems are engineered to meet performance, safety, and quality requirements
The role also requires close collaboration with manufacturing, QA, and commissioning teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with Ziztel’s technical and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong project engineering capabilities, including experience in Project Engineering and Project Management within electrical or systems engineering environments.
- Proficiency in project planning activities, such as Project Planning, scheduling, and coordinating technical deliverables across multidisciplinary teams.
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or other safety-critical industries is beneficial.
- Familiarity with international standards, QA systems (e.g., ISO 9001), and third-party certification processes is advantageous.
- Ability to work methodically, manage multiple projects concurrently, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
