About the Role

Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading engineering organisation specialising in the lifting, transportation, installation, and decommissioning of large-scale structures and heavy industrial equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Mechanical or Civil Engineering engineer with around 1-2 years' industry experience, who is looking to develop their technical expertise while working on large-scale, high-profile engineering projects. You'll receive ongoing support and mentoring from an experienced engineering team, providing a clear pathway for professional development and career progression.

Key Duties

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing both conventional and innovative engineering solutions for complex heavy lifting and transportation projects. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll be responsible for preparing and developing engineering method statements, technical drawings, calculations, lifting plans, visualisations, manuals, risk assessments, and other supporting documentation to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

The Project Engineer will regularly travel to customer sites across the UK, providing hands-on engineering support throughout the delivery of complex lifting and transportation projects. This offers the opportunity to see projects through from planning to execution, working closely with site teams to ensure safe, efficient, and successful delivery. All travel, accommodation, and transport are fully arranged and covered by the company, allowing you to focus entirely on supporting project execution while gaining invaluable on-site experience across a diverse range of engineering environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
