TXT e-Tech is looking for a Supplier Technical Management Engineering Manager to join its Aerospace & Defence Division.

About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager – Core Platform Integration, the Supplier Technical Management Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the technical deliverables and performance of assigned suppliers (LSSI), typically across domains such as Propulsion, G2E, and others. The role ensures the technical interface between suppliers and Procurement, enabling the successful delivery of engineering equipment and artifacts.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Program Management, and Logistics teams to align technical communication and expectations with suppliers.
  • Ensure suppliers' technical and programmatic engagement during the pre-contract phase (early development phase).
  • Support Procurement in the technical evaluation and selection of suppliers.
  • Develop and implement, in line with the engineering operating model, an operational framework to integrate suppliers into engineering planning and technical governance processes.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Managers to ensure that all responsibilities associated with the role are embedded within the appropriate governance processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in supplier/vendor technical management, program/project engineering, or supply chain roles within the Aerospace & Defense sector.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier contract management practices.
  • Ability to interface effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Program Management, and Logistics.
  • Familiarity with supplier performance KPIs (e.g., OTD, responsiveness, escalation management) and risk management processes.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of additional consortium languages is considered an advantage.
  • Availability to work at the program site, with willingness to travel when required.

Additional Skills (a Plus)

  • Thesis, internship, or project work focused on supply chain, technical procurement, manufacturing, or project management topics.
  • Initial professional experience (including internships) in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Good to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP), even if acquired in an academic context.
  • Exposure to project management tools (MS Project, Jira) or data visualization tools (Power BI) is considered a plus.

  • Proactivity: Ability to promptly identify and escalate issues before they become visible problems.
  • Accuracy and Reliability: Strong attention to detail in data collection, status tracking, and reporting. In this role, data quality is the foundation for decision-making.

  • Bachelor's degree (Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field)

Location

  • Turin, then UK (2027)

  • The grading/level will be defined during the selection process based on the candidate's profile and in accordance with the National Collective Labor Agreement (Metalworking Industry).
