Project Manager / Project Engineer Dumfries | £45,000 + 10% Bonus | Permanent
Are you a Project Engineer or Project Manager who enjoys combining engineering, project delivery, and customer interaction?
We're looking for an experienced engineering professional to take ownership of a portfolio of installation, refurbishment, and repair projects.
You'll manage projects from initial scope and planning through to completion, working closely with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
What you'll be doing
- Managing projects against time, cost, and quality requirements
- Coordinating engineering teams and site activities
- Conducting surveys and site inspections
- Producing quotations and project solutions
- Managing project budgets and profitability
- Producing project plans, GANTT charts, and reports
- Managing customer relationships
- Managing project risks and H&S requirements
- Providing technical guidance to engineering teams
- Supporting wider business development

What we're looking for
- Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven engineering project management experience
- SMSTS – essential
- Mechanical installation/commissioning knowledge
- NEC3 knowledge desirable
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent customer/stakeholder skills
- Full UK driving licence

The position involves regular travel to customer sites, occasional overnight stays, and participation in an on-call rota.
£45,000 + 10% annual bonus.
