Project Engineer (Supervisor / AutoCAD)

St Neots, Cambridge: Hybrid Working Options Available

Salary DOE + 25 Days Holiday and Bank Holiday + Company Pension + Laptop + Phone

Monday to Thursday 09:00 to 17:30, Friday 15:00 Finish

Project Engineer (Supervisor) required for a market leading engineering company who work with companies world:wide on reducing their environmental impact. This is a great opportunity to work on varied projects within a company who have a trading history of over 80 years. The company can offer training and development opportunities.

This role would suit candidates looking for a varied position who have a mechanical engineering background and ideally hold a degree or apprenticeship (or equivalent). You can come from any mechanical industry background as industry specific training will be provided. You must have experience using AutoCAD to create 2D designs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the company's General Manager to supervise the projects team and develop and maintain technical engineering support on bespoke projects. You will be involved in analysing project specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate equipment design.

The company can offer hybrid working (up to two days work from home). The successful candidate can expect to spend approximately 20 of their time travelling to customer sites to support in activities such as meetings and inspections. As the role progresses, this is likely to increase to up to 40:50.

The Project Engineer (Supervisor) Role

  • Analyse project specifications and performance requirements
  • Provide technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations
  • Resolve potential issues
  • Prepares general arrangements and detail drawings using AutoCAD
  • Prepare Weights and Areas
  • Reviews materials certificates and Procedure documents.
  • International travel to customer sites: approximately 20 of the time, increasing up to 50 in a couple of years.

The Project Engineer (Supervisor) Candidate

  • Mechanical project engineering experience.
  • Ideally hold a degree or apprenticeship (or equivalent)
  • AutoCAD 2D experience
