About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer to be responsible for executing various tasks of top spend capital expenditure (Capex) projects by delivering the project brief deliverables in time and at cost. The role is technically orientated, ensuring the functionality of the described deliverables is achieved and ready for Operations.

What you will do

  • Applying the Global Technology Templates and any regional standards in drafting the technical specifications required to obtain the deliverables.
  • Ensure Capex requirements are supported by executing studies (FEED, detailed design).
  • Develop ongoing Electrical Upgrade programme with support of Senior Engineering Project Manager.​
  • Support Procurement or Project Manager in request for proposals (RFPs), vendor selection and constructability reviews. ​
  • Align with Global Engineering Team in selecting the equipment to fulfill their tasks and regional engineering standards​.
  • Assist at FAT/SAT in cooperation with start-up leads and ensure technical performance compliance.​
  • Ensure all technical documentation is available and all required routines to ensure proper asset management are initiated.
  • Support activities directly after handover to Operations during agreed time.​
  • Provide and ensure necessary technical support and site presence during execution and commissioning of projects. ​

Your skills and background

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or similar), with relevant experience and an interest in continuing your professional development toward chartered status.
  • Experience supporting or delivering engineering projects within a production or process environment.
  • Experience in Electrical Design including Switchgear Specification, Cable Calculations, lighting/emergency lighting design and Fire/Security systems. Experience within Hazardous areas and/or experience with Utility Companies desirable.
  • Experience in risk management, stakeholder engagement and financial planning within project environments.
  • An understanding of project budgets and the ability to work with colleagues to support effective project delivery.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
