Job Description
FLIR Intelligent Transportation Systems develops and makes hardware and software for traffic detection systems and guarantees tailor made solutions and experienced project support.
FLIR ITS is the reference in traffic video detection based on video image processing. Its ambition is to maintain its market leaders position. Actually, more than 60,000 detector units are installed over more than 60 countries.
FLIR ITS is currently present in Europe (Belgium HQ, Germany, UK, Spain & France), USA, Singapore, India, Brazil and China
The junior project engineer will assist the project manager with the roll out and installation of our ITS projects.

He/she is responsible for the “technical installation” and day to day maintenance and follow up of our projects and installations.
He/she will report directly to the head of ITS projects and will work in close cooperation with the project manager in charge of the assigned projects.
Key responsibilities
- You install our systems and you ensure technical support for our system integrators. Therefore, you proceed all testing and adjustments where needed.
- You will perform fine tuning activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
- You establish good relationship with your colleagues to exchange customers feedback or important market information, helpful for product and service improvement.
- You will register, follow up and report back on all repairs (RMA).
The profile
- Some experience with technical installations of CCTV equipment (camera surveillance) & networking is mandatory.
- Technical degree in electronics or equivalent via experience.
- Good command of IT tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook…
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken) in English is a must, any other additional language is an advantage.
- Able and available for travel on a regular basis, around 50% of the time.
