Project Engineer - High Security

We're looking to add an experienced Project Engineer within High Security here at Chubb Fire and Security. This is a key hire for us, working with key national infrastructure projects across the UK. The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical delivery of integrated security system projects, from implementation through to completion and handover. Working closely with the Project Manager, clients, subcontractors and installation teams, the role coordinates technical and site activities to ensure solutions are delivered safely, to the required quality standards, on programme and within agreed budgets

Salary:

Up to £55K (DoE)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation and commissioning of Integrated security systems from initial design through project completion, including Electrical Installations and Civil works.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise the installation and commissioning activities of engineers and subcontractors on site.
  • Evolve project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, ensure milestones are achieved and provide progress updates.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and technical issues.
  • Support project handover activities, including documentation and client training.
  • Conduct site surveys, operational visits and site meetings.
  • Produce schematics, and engineering documentation.

Qualifications/ Experience/Knowledge:

  • HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Security Systems, or a related field.
  • ECS/ CSCS Card or willingness to obtain one.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • SC Clearance or agreement to be screened to this level.
  • Ability to work at customer sites and travel as required.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical/electronic principles and relevant industry standards.
  • Proven experience in project delivery of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, Perimeter Detection, IT Infrastructure and Integrated Security Systems.
