City of York Council are excited to announce that they are seeking a Project Engineer in Highway Maintenance.
This role will be based within the Highways Basic Maintenance Team within City of York Council. This key role is to add technical highway and civil engineering experience to the highway asset management team.
The team is focused on maintenance, reconstruction, and improvement of highway infrastructure assets. It will involve helping highways managers, inspectors, and operational staff to deliver Capital and Revenue small works orders and minor works schemes.

About the Role
This person will be a problem solver, team player, and have an ability to work under their own initiative. Ideally having AutoCAD and Civil Engineering design experience, but not essential as training and support will be given to the right candidate.
