Job Title: Technical Project Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Reading
Contract Length: 6 Months (Extension Potential)
Rate: £530 - £570 per day (Inside IR35)
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical activities across engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Act as the primary technical interface between engineering functions and delivery management, supporting project execution throughout the lifecycle.
- Manage technical risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests, ensuring appropriate escalation and mitigation actions.
- Support the development and maintenance of project plans, technical roadmaps, schedules, milestones, and delivery forecasts.
- Facilitate technical reviews, governance activities, and milestone assessments to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
- Coordinate engineering inputs into artefacts, deliverables, reporting, and lifecycle management activities.
- Track project performance against scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

- Bachelor's Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification within an Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related Technical discipline.
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex engineering projects or technical work packages within Aerospace, Defence, or other highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of project planning, dependency management, risk management, issue control, forecasting, and technical governance.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proven ability to manage technical delivery whilst balancing scope, schedule, quality, and business objectives.
