Project Engineer – Aircraft Modification
Salary: £60,000 pa
Contract Rates: up to £450 pd
Location: Somerton, Somerset (Fully on site and customer site)
Start: ASAP
My client is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their team ASAP, supporting a major aircraft modification programme. You will act as the key engineering interface between the customer, design house and manufacturing partner, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activity and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to certification requirements.

- Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical, avionics and interior engineering activities.
- Act as the main engineering interface with customers, suppliers and manufacturing teams.
- Support aircraft modification design, integration and certification.
- Provide engineering liaison within the manufacturing environment, resolving fit, form and function issues.
- Manage engineering schedules, resources, risks and project deliverables.
- Support technical reporting, customer updates and project reviews.
Requirements
- Aerospace/aviation engineering background.
- Experience coordinating aircraft modification or engineering projects.
- Strong mechanical design and engineering documentation knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary/matrix environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks.

Desirable: Rotorcraft experience, electrical design knowledge, aerospace certification/configuration systems, supplier management and PRINCE2/APM/PMP qualification.
Contract, FTC and Permanent opportunities available. Immediate start preferred.
