Role Overview
As part of the BNI and BOP Piping JDO MEH team you’ll be supporting the full lifecycle of piping design, from early basic design at Handover 1 through to final handover for commissioning at Handover 4.
Responsibilities
- Providing engineering (Technical) support to the Package Project Management team, including attendance at weekly/monthly PM meetings.
- Collating and maintaining support tracker to record support book releases and design holds at HO2, through to manufacturing completion at HO3.
- Managing change management process relating to design updates post HO2, pre-HO3.
- Managing the technical query (TQ) process for the package, including chairing regular TQ meetings with stakeholders and facilitating responses from responsible departments, as required.
- Ensuring CEMAR is maintained to reflect TQ progress and resolutions.
- Managing Engineering input to HO3 requirements.
- Providing technical input into HO1-HO2 ‘Constructability’ issues, as required.
- Providing support to Lead, as required.

Requirements
- Track record of working on projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.
- Demonstrate expertise in relevant technical discipline within the pipework manufacturing/construction/management environment.
- Proven ability to successfully deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time and cost in a fast paced, schedule driven environment.
- Experience of successfully engaging, managing and influencing groups of stakeholders and facilitating issues resolution.
- Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
- Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering to achieve high professional standards.
- Ability to work autonomously but with awareness of own limitations.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering, construction, or other related field.
