Company Description:

Safelift Offshore Ltd, established in 1994, is a market leader in the design, supply, and manufacture of handling equipment for the offshore industry. The company combines practical advice with deep offshore experience to deliver products that are fully suited to demanding offshore environments. Safelift offers a wide range of standard products and also designs and manufactures custom-built solutions for specific applications and problem scenarios. All products are engineered to relevant legislative standards, manufactured from high-quality materials by certified craftspeople, and rigorously load tested with comprehensive inspection to ensure safety and integrity. Quality and service are central to Safelift’s ongoing growth and long-term partnerships with customers.

Role Description:

Due to continued growth Safelift Offshore Ltd requires a Project Engineer to join our renowned lifting and mechanical handling equipment team to support all of our product supply and engineered solutions. Playing an integral part of the team, the project engineer will support all aspects of the project scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports all ongoing projects with technical work scopes.
  • Act as a self-motivated team player, with the ability to manage own workload and others schedules.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external Stakeholders.
  • Develop a strong understanding of products and services to translate complex information into project specific documentation.
  • Produce clear, user-friendly documentation that meets contractual project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of reference materials, including safe use instructions, product datasheets, design specifications, compliance documentation, and quality assurance records (e.g. Quality Plans, Inspection Plans, Factory Test Reports).
  • Supervise and facilitate all Factory Acceptance Testing.
  • Review existing documentation and implement improvements to enhance quality and usability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of MS Project, Excel and other planning based software.
  • Crane, Lifting, and Mechanical handling knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential with further education qualifications in relevant discipline (HND/Degree or working through qualifications) advantageous.
