About The Role

As part of our Power Transmission & Distribution business, we're seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of our works on the landmark Lower Thames Crossing project. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role on one of the country's largest and most high-profile infrastructure programmes, helping to deliver critical power infrastructure that will support this nationally important scheme.
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Construction Managers and engineering specialists, you'll help coordinate the safe, efficient and successful delivery of project works from planning and design through to construction, commissioning and handover.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the successful delivery of power infrastructure works across the project lifecycle.
- Translating engineering designs and technical information into practical delivery solutions.
- Coordinating engineering activities across site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assisting with project planning, reporting, programme management and progress monitoring.
- Managing and overseeing subcontractor activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.
- Reviewing technical documentation, drawings, specifications and work packages.
- Planning plant, equipment and resource requirements to support project delivery.
- Producing and reviewing RAMS, permits and other safety documentation.
- Supporting procurement activities and ensuring materials and resources are available when required.
- Identifying project risks, issues and opportunities and escalating where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate project records, reports and site documentation.
- Championing a culture of Zero Harm and ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Who we're looking for
We're looking for an engineer who enjoys being close to project delivery and wants to play a key role on major infrastructure projects.
You'll Ideally Have
- Experience delivering infrastructure, utilities, power, transmission, construction or major engineering projects.
- A strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing interfaces across multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project planning, programme management and project controls.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to safety and quality management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
