About RoviSys:
RoviSys is an independent system integrator with year-over-year growth in Ireland, Europe, and world-wide. RoviSys provides a variety of information and automation services in many industries globally.
RoviSys Ireland formed in 2022, with the Dublin Office open in May 2024. Dublin is part of RoviSys Europe group and currently operates closely with our European HQ located in Utrecht in The Netherlands.
Manufactures and systems we are currently working on in Ireland are including but not limited to Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell, Siemens PCS7 and S7, Schneider, Honeywell IQSET and Trend PLCs. SCADA include Ignition, Aveva, AVEVA PI, IQ Vision, Cimplicity, and iFIX.
About the Opportunity:
Project Engineers are responsible for leading engineering teams that design and implement customer automation projects. Project engineers take a comprehensive approach to solving problems, learning the details of each project’s mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
Responsibilities
Software Design & Development:
- Leading design and develop control system software for PLCs, DCS, SCADA, MES and historian platforms.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation to support system architecture and functionality.
- Assists Project Manager in identifying changes in project scope and developing change orders
- Serves as a technical contact for customers

Hardware Design & Testing:
- Design electrical control panels and oversee their testing to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
Project Execution & Validation:
- Lead and conduct Factory Acceptance Testing to validate system performance prior to deployment.
- Lead site commissioning activities for both hardware and software components.
- Perform Site Acceptance Testing to confirm system functionality in the live environment.

A Project Engineer will typically work in a project team of 2 – 20 and will be expected to work closely with the project manager. Site location can vary, currently are in Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, UK, Spain, Nordic’s and more across the EU.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (Level 8) in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years of experience in automation
- Eligible to work and travel in Ireland and Europe without sponsorship.
- Full Irish Drivers License
- Attend the Dublin Office on a daily basis
- Strong background in industrial automation and control systems.
- Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS programming and SCADA configuration.
- Familiarity with validation protocols and quality standards in regulated industries.
- Experience in leading a team of engineers in a project environment
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills.
As a minimum, you must be proficient on one or more of the following platforms:
- Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix, PlantPAx, or FactoryTalk
- Emerson DeltaV
- Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs, EcoStruxure, PowerSCADA, Power Monitoring Expert (PME)
- Siemens S7, PCS7, or WinCC
- Ignition
- Or similar IT, automation, or MES platform
Open to travel is a must.
