Project Engineer - Power Stations Pipelines & Industrial

Location: Hybrid

Salary: Negotiable Circa £45k depending on proven Metering & Gas sector experience.

Benefits: Flexible Benefit fund worth up to £1175 + Car Allowance £4500 or Company car

Penspen www.penspen.com are looking for a dynamic Project Engineer with Power Stations & Pipelines experience.

Main Purpose Of Role

To provide engineering, technical, and project delivery support for power station and pipeline projects, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client requirements, industry standards, and Penspen quality procedures. This role supports successful planning, coordination, execution, and close-out of multidisciplinary engineering and field activities while maintaining strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal project teams. The role will be required to uphold the highest level of technical competency and professionalism.

Are you a Project Engineer within the Gas Industry?

  • Do you have knowledge of Power stations?
  • Have you been supporting Account Managers?

Responsibilities

  • To have full knowledge of company and client policies and procedures and ensure full compliance
  • Compliance with all accident, near misses and safety observation reporting in line with company and client requirements
  • Ensure all time management systems are completed within weekly deadlines
  • Support and deputise for the Key Contract Manager as required
  • Undertake site surveys and prepare detailed quotations within client KPI’s
  • Specify components and spares for procurement by our Procurement and Logistics Partner
  • Quality and compliance checks and conformation of correct documentation prior to fitting components with particular attention to MP10/G17 design requirements
  • Notify planning via work request form of upcoming ad-hoc works and liaise with the scheduling supervisor to resolve any issues
  • Participate in weekly scheduling meetings to review workload, resources and equipment
  • Prepare and/or assist with the generation and update of various documentation i.e. RAMS / toolbox talks / work instructions / training material / work packs
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings to review workload, resources, spares and equipment
  • Undertake site/team audits pre/during/post works in accordance with company and contract requirements
  • To be fully conversant with Penspen PTW and safe control of operations procedures (SCO)
  • Diligently control costs and quality on all ad-hoc works and ensure adherence to all aspects of heath and safety during execution of work
  • Liaise with client representatives as required to ensure satisfactory delivery of works
  • Attend weekly meetings with the contract team to report progress and to bring any issues that may require wider team resolution
  • Seek continuous productivity improvements across aspects of work undertaken
  • Actively take part in an emergency standby rota as single point of contact SPOC
  • Follow up on permanent rectification of faults from emergency call outs
